Pre-filled Citations
Pre-filled Citations leverage the existing tagging and control match from a previous citation mapping.
If the Mapper detects an exact match of the Citation Guidance with a previously-mapped Citation, you will be provided the option to Select an existing citation to pre-fill the task, if applicable.
Entering Citations: Pre-fill Citations
In such instances you will need to compare the citation in the current document, including stubs, to ensure that the citations match exactly. You can compare the current citation using the CT ID referenced in the pre-fill option in the Citations tab in the Research Portal.
- Select None, if the stubs do not match verbatim.
- Select a pre-fill option if the stubs match verbatim.
- If the pre-fill option contains multiple mandates you will need to create a new Map a Citation task for each mandate, mapping to a different mandate each time, to make sure that all are captured.
The best way to identify if the citation contains multiple mandates is by looking at the Authority Document ID (AD ID) + Citation ID (CT ID) +Control title.
If the AD ID is the same but the controls and the CT IDs are different, the citation contains multiple mandates.
