Matching Citations
After a tagging citation task has been formally approved, a Citation Matching task will spawn in your queue.
Citation Matching is the process of mapping one data set to another, or in our case, mapping a mandate from an Authority Document to another mandate from any other Authority Document or to a Common Control.
The goal of citation matching is to determine the common control that best matches a mandate. A citation can match to more than one control, if there is more than one mandate. Therefore it is important to carefully examine the wording in order to find clues to help determine the actions covered by each control.
