Arranging Citations
The first thing that an approver will look at when reviewing a citation hierarchy is that the citations are in proper order. Citations are arranged by dragging and dropping.
Citation Reference order should mirror that of the source document. When there are multiple mandates in a citation we arrange Citation IDs in ascending order.
Numbered paragraphs should appear in the order that they appear in the document. All numbered paragraphs are placed in the same level of the heirarchy. Bullets, sub-bullets, and lettered or numbered citations should be placed below their parents in a lower level level of the hierarchy.
If the hierarchy needs to be re-arranged, the approver will return it with the citation reference of the mis-ordered citations and instructions on where they should be placed.
Citation arrangement is covered in greater detail in the Mapper Guide.
