Edit Control Tasks
If a Common Control’s wording, tagging, or audit items need to be updated, this is accomplished through an Edit Control Task, which can be spawned either from within a Mapping project or from the Projects tab on the user dashboard. A control’s wording is most often changed when a control is merged or split, but can also be changed based on preferred industry terminology or best practice. A control can be re-worded in the first step of an Edit Control task. The terms in the re-worded control will then need to be tagged and linked to the definition that most closely matches the context of the control. If a control’s audit items need to be updated this can either be done at the end of an edit control task or by selecting ‘Edit Audit Items for control xxx’ after selecting the control to be edited.
