Because of the way that citations appear in the hierarchy it can be easier to spot errors, especially with regard to citation reference, during the hierarchy review. Most reference errors aren’t obvious when reviewing specific tasks, and only become apparent when compared with surrounding citations. The most common reference errors relate to formatting such as a missing paragraph symbol or numbering errors. When a hierarchy is returned because of citation errors, the approver will denote the location and nature of the errors. An Edit Citation task will remedy such errors.
