The Company is ending the existing traditional PTO policy, where you accrue and carry-over vacation as of the close of business on April 15, 2023. 

Beginning April 16, 2023, flexible paid time-off (FTO) will be implemented.

Flexible Paid Time-Off

It is the policy of Unified Compliance to forego a leave accrual or bank system of any sort. Eligible employees will be free to take leave when they require it.   All employees will be required to take a minimum of twelve (12) days off each year. 

Eligibility

All full-time exempt employees with 30 days of continuous service are eligible.

Approval and Accounting

Under the unlimited FTO policy, employees may use FTO at their discretion for any reason – vacation, doctor’s visit, religious observations, emergencies, etc. in accordance with the terms of the FTO plan.  Use of FTO should be guided by Unified Compliance client needs, management of team members, project demands and the overall impact of the absence on the business.  Performance should not be compromised to facilitate paid time-off requests.

 Employee FTO requests should be made in TriNet within the following timeframes:

  • Requests for up to four (4) non-consecutive days, the employee should give their manager as much notice as practically possible.

  • Requests for up to five (5) consecutive FTO days require a minimum of two (2) weeks advance notice.

  • Requests exceeding five (5) days, not exceeding ten (10) consecutive FTO days require a minimum of three (3) weeks advance notice.

  • Requests exceeding ten (10) consecutive FTO days require four (4) weeks advance notice.

  • Requests exceeding ten (10) consecutive days will require a written plan for how they will set their team up for success while out of the office and how their work will be managed during this time.
