The benefits eligibility date is the date of hire, when you are eligible to participate in the Plan. Your benefits eligibility date cannot be modified unless the Plan’s life status change event rules apply. If you are actively at work benefits will be effective for you on your benefits eligibility date.
Immediate Enrollment
If your Worksite selects immediate enrollment in TriNet benefits, your Your benefits eligibility date is your date of hire. Since benefits coverage and deductions are retroactive to your benefits eligibility date, enrolling early in the election period helps you avoid more than one pay period’s worth of deductions from coming out of your paycheck at once.
Waiting Periods
A waiting period is the amount of time determined by your Worksite that defines the time between your hire date and your benefits eligibility date for the benefits described in this Guidebook. A month is counted from one numerical date in the beginning month to the same numerical date in the following month(s).Available Coverages
